  • Bachelor of Creative Industry Management (Hons.) - BCIM

    Total Credit Hours: 124 Credit Hours (minimum) 

    The aim of the Bachelor of Creative Industry Management (Hons) [BCIM (Hons)] is to produce graduates with competitive knowledge, principles and skills in term of theoretical and practical foundation for managing and enhancing creative industries.

    The objectives of the BCIM programme are as follows:
    1. To provide graduates with managerial knowledge and skills in creative industries.
    2. To develop graduates with analytical and critical thinking skills to solve problems by applying knowledge, principles and skills in managing creative industries.
    3. To develop graduates with skills in integrating various technology solutions, particularly in their respective creative major.
    4. To build graduates with entrepreneurial skill in creative industries.
    5. To build graduates with effective communication skills and ethical responsibilities
     
    The programme offered several options in terms of specializations, namely:
    1. Bachelor of Creative Industry Management (Film Production)

  • The minimum academic qualifications for admission to the various levels are as follows:
     
    1. Local Student
    (a) Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) Qualifications 
    Fulfill university general requirements which are passedSijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/ equivalent with credit in BahasaMelayu/Bahasa Malaysia or credit in BahasaMelayu/Bahasa Malaysia July Paper; and
    passed the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with at least a CGPA of 2.00; and
    obtained at least Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in General Studies; and Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in any two (2) other subjects.
     
    (b) Matriculation/Foundation Qualifications  
    Passed SPM/equivalent with credits in BahasaMelayu/Bahasa Malaysia or credit in BahasaMelayu/Bahasa Malaysia July Paper; and
    passed Matriculation/Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.00. 
     
    (c) Diploma Qualifications  
    Passed SijilPelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/equivalent with credit in BahasaMelayu/Bahasa Malaysia or credit in BahasaMelayu/Bahasa Malaysia July Paper; and
    have a diploma or other qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government and approved by the
     
    (d) SijilTinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) Qualifications  
    Passed SijilPelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/equivalent with credit in BahasaMelayu/Bahasa Malaysia or credit in BahasaMelayu/Bahasa Malaysia July Paper; and
    obtained at least Jayyid Level in SijilTinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) in year 2008, 2007, and 2006.
     
    (e) Programme Special Requirement 
    Fulfill programme special requirement which is obtained at least a Level 2 (Band 2) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
    For candidates who have NOT fulfilled the above requirements may be considered if they fulfill the conditions below:
    1. Passed SPM/equivalent with credits in Bahasa Melayu or credits in Bahasa Melayu July Paper; and
    2. Age 21 and above; and
    3. At least 3 years of experience in any of the creative area, namely film, music, theatre, animation, media, arts and others; and
    4. Passed an INTERVIEW session.
     
    2. International Student 
    Having other qualifications recognized by the Government and endorsed by the UUM Senate.
